I had the privilege of leading UX design on Garmin's Descent S1 Smart Buoy, working alongside an incredible cross-functional team, on one of diving's biggest challenges: reliable communication between surface and depths.

The design challenge was fascinating: creating interfaces that remain intuitive under pressure (literally) while prioritizing safety-critical information hierarchy. When you're 30 meters down, every interaction needs to be deliberate and clear.
